Helldivers 2 Update: Super Earth Flags Get a Deadly Upgrade!

When fighting against aliens that will stop at nothing to end you, everything should be considered a potential weapon—even flags. Thanks to groundbreaking military research from Arrowhead, the latest Helldivers 2 update has made those portable battle banners even pointier. So, what does this mean? You can now proudly plant Super Earth’s flag directly into your enemies with even more force.

This update, hailed as a significant boost for one of the best co-op games out there, adds several exciting new features. Most notably, it enhances the lethality of the CQC-1 One True Flag. Players can now plant this flag in more places—and when we say “places,” we mean right into the heads of aliens. There’s nothing quite like jamming the colors of Super Earth firmly into an enemy’s forehead!

Alongside the flag updates, the new Helldivers 2 patch brings improvements to gameplay mechanics. One of the key quality-of-life enhancements is the reduced ragdoll recovery time. Now, when your character takes a tumble, you’ll regain control more swiftly, allowing you to dive back into the action with minimal delay. However, not all updates are positive; players should be wary of the increased chest injury bleed damage, which has jumped from one to ten. Those aiming directly at your torso now pose a much greater threat!

Weaponry has also seen a host of improvements. The AR-32 Pacifier now comes fully loaded with six magazines by default, with a maximum capacity increased to eight. This means you won’t find yourself reloading as much amid frantic battles. Additionally, both the SMG-72 Pummeler and the ARC-12 Blitzer have received a slight boost in their stun values, making them more effective in disabling opponents.

Moreover, the R-2124 Constitution and R-2 Amendment weaponry have experienced a staggering strength increase to 25, enhancing their ability to disrupt enemy movements. Meanwhile, the P-92 Warrant now has the capability to lock onto large-sized enemies, giving players a strategic advantage with targeted attacks. Throwables such as the G-10 and G-13 incendiary grenades have also been enhanced, featuring a larger amount of fuel for longer-lasting flames. This will be crucial, especially when dealing with large to massive-sized enemies that are now easier to ignite!

The continues fight for freedom across the galaxy is loaded with additional tweaks, improvements, and bug fixes. These advancements not only sharpen your arsenal but also make the alien battleground much more dynamic.

Interestingly, this patch comes shortly after Arrowhead introduced the next Warbond for Helldivers 2. Jamie highlighted the VG-70 Variable, a seven-barreled volley gun, as a notable new addition to the game. This experimental weapon showcases the imaginative weaponry forged from alien tech, ready for players to wield in their quest for galactic domination.
